Christine Paolilla

Christine Paolilla

In a real life story that played out like a Hollywood teen scream thriller, Christine Paolilla turned on the her friends and slayed them.

No one is quite sure why the former social outcast Christine Paolilla, who was transformed from an ugly duckling into “Miss Irresistible,” turn on the very girls who made her popular?

The incident took place in the afternoon during July 2003, when four recent high school graduates, including Paolilla’s two best friends and the most popular girls in school, Rachael Koloroutis and Tiffany Rowell, were gunned down at Tiffany’s home in a Houston, Texas suburb. Police were baffled by the murders, which were seemingly random. But as police dug deeper into the investigation that dragged on for three years, they discovered that the killer might be closer to home than anyone ever expected.

Christine Paolilla was apprehended San Antonio, Texas, where she had been holed up in a hotel for months using heroin.  She has been convicted of murdering 4 of her friends Marcus Precella, Tiffany Rowell, Adelbert Sanchez and Rachael Koloroutis. Christine Paolilla is in the process of appealing her conviction.

AT&T Gives Away iPhones To Battle Verizon iPhone

AT&T Gives Away iPhones in Battle versus Verizon iPhone

Expecting to lose a significant portion of its market share on the soon coming official announcement by Verizon and Apple that the iPhone will be sold by Verizon, Apple has decided to make the customers decision to stay with AT&T a bit easier by giving away iPhones.

A source close to AT&T says "It's a must have strategy.  For years we have been the exclusive retailer of the iPhone which without coincidence is our best seller.  Our monopoly on the iPhone will soon be over, so we feel the time is right to give current and future AT&T customer a nice incentive to continue with or start using our services."

So far, this gamble is paying off for AT&T.  By giving away iPhones with multi-year contracts will be able to weather the storm of a possible mass exodus of subscribers.

To be noted, the Original iPhone (AT&T version) is a GSM phone and Verizon's iPhone will be CDMA.  These iPhones will not operate on the competitors carrier network due to this technical difference.

AT&T has partnered with Bobbing For Apples for their iPhone Giveaway promotion.  Read more about it here: Apple iPhone 4 Giveaway.
